Mojito is a conventional cuban highball. The cocktail frequently consists of 5 components: white rum, sugar (historically sugar cane juice), lime juice, soda water, and mint. Its combination of sweetness, citrus, and herbaceous mint flavours is supposed to complement the rum, and has made the mojito a famous summer time drink. Whilst preparing a mojito, sparkling lime juice is delivered to sugar (or to easy syrup) and mint leaves. The aggregate is then gently mashed with a muddler.
The mint leaves must best be bruised to release the important oils and have to no longer be shredded. Then rum is brought and the combination is briefly stirred to dissolve the sugar and to raise the mint leaves up from the bottom for better presentation. Ultimately, the drink is topped with crushed ice and glowing soda water. Mint leaves and lime wedges are used to garnish the glass. The mojito is one of the most well-known rum-primarily based highballs. There are numerous variations of the mojito.
