Hanuman, as described in Indian literature, is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama and Mother Sita. Lord Hanuman is also known as the Lord of celibacy. Lord Hanuman has taken birth with a certain motive to assist Lord Rama in slaying Ravana and then live till the end of time. Lord Hanuman is described as brave, strong and demon slaying god in Indian literature. Lord Hanuman was born to Anjana and Kesari, Hanuman was said to be the son of the Vayu, the wind god. Some believe that Anjanri is considered to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman, near Nashik, a city in the Maharashtra state of India, others believe that Lord Hanuman was born at Anjanadri hills, near Vijaynagar ruins in Karnataka.
