X-men is an american superhero movie collection based on the fictional superhero team of the equal name, who in the beginning seemed in a chain of comic books created by means of stan lee and jack kirby and posted by wonder comics. 20th century fox obtained the film rights to the characters in 1994, and after severa drafts, bryan singer became employed to direct the first movie, launched in 2000, and its sequel, x2 (2003), while the third installment of the unique trilogy, x-guys: the last stand (2006), turned into directed by brett ratner.
After every film outgrossed its predecessor, several spin-off movies were launched, including three wolverine films (2009–2017), four x-guys: beginnings movies (2011–2019), and deadpool films (2016–2018), with the new mutants concluding the collection in 2020, after a 20-year-long term. With thirteen movies released, the x-guys film collection is the 7th highest-grossing movie collection, having grossed over $6 billion global. In march 2019, surprise studios acquired the movie rights to x-guys after disney received twenty first century fox. In october 2020, the x-men movie collection, at the side of the first rate four films, have been rebranded as wonder legacy films on disney+
