Winnie the Pooh also known as the Pooh or Pooh Bear is a fictional cartoon character. Created by English author A.A. Milne this fictional anthropomorphic teddy bear is quite famous among kids. Winnie the Pooh (1926), was the first compilation of stories about the character. Also it was a book. This was succeeded by The House at Pooh Corner(1928). Milne also went ahead to draft a poem about the character in the children's verse book When We Were Very Young (1924). Winnie ille Pu,published in 1958 was a translation of Winnie the Pooh in Latin and became the first and lone Latin book ever to be featured on The New York Times Bestseller's List. It was in 1961, Walt Disney Productions licenced certain film and rights of Winnie the Pooh from the capital of A.A. Milne. It adapted the Pooh stories into a series of features. It later became one of its most successful franchises.
Sterling Holloway, Hal Smith and Jim Cummings have voiced over the popular film adaptations in English and Yevgeny Leonov has voiced it over in Russian. The fun fact is that A.A. Milne named the character of Pooh over the Teddy Bear owned by his son Christopher Robert Milne.
