Autumn is a season of love. It comes between the summer and winter. In US, this season is also known as fall. The reason behind this name is not clearly stated, but it is to be said that autumn is called as fall because tree falls their leaves in this season. Trees shed their leaves because there is low light available for photosynthesis therefore, trees remove their chlorophyll and stop their food production.
It starts in the month of September and end in December. Autumn starts either from 22nd September or 23rd September. Usually autumn falls on these two dates, but not always. In 1931 the autumn fell on 24th September and will again fall on 24th in year 2303. It is neither very hot nor very cold, as it starts after the end of summer and ends before the beginning of winter. In autumn, days becomes shorter and cools the temperature at night. Though autumn is the season of love, but it also signifies change, maturity, beauty and even sadness. In India, autumn plays a major role in attracting tourism. There is more of apple harvesting, rice and other crops. Halloween is also celebrated in autumn season just like Diwali in India.
