A finger is a limb of the human body and a sort of digit, an organ of manipulation and sensation discovered in the arms of humans and other primates. Typically humans have five digits, the bones of which might be termed phalanges, on each hand, even though some human beings have greater or fewer than five due to congenital disorders which includes polydactyly or oligodactyly, or unintentional or scientific amputations. The first digit is the thumb, observed via index finger, center finger, ring finger, and little finger or pinkie.
According to different definitions, the thumb may be referred to as a finger, or not. English dictionaries describe finger as that means either one of the five digits such as the thumb, or one of the four with the exception of the thumb (in which case they're numbered from 1 to four beginning with the index finger closest to the thumb)
