Love is a feeling, it has a range of both emotional and mental states. It is the deepest interpersonal affection and is the simplest pleasure. Love of mother and her child is different from the love of the spouse and these both differ from the love of food and materialistic things. Love is considered many things such as kindness, compassion, solitude, affection, calmness, loyalty, unselfishness and much more. It can also be described as affectionate and compassionate actions towards other humans and animals. Love is in various forms and it is the major facilitator of the interpersonal relationships. Some say love happens when all the chakras in one's body are perfectly aligned.
Love is postulated to be a feeling to keep humans together and being compassionate towards each other, and do not bring destruction and menace to each other. Ancient philosophers identified five forms of love, namely, Family love, Friendly love, Platonic love, Romantic love, Guest love and divine love. Modern philosophers also identified love as self-love, infatuated love, unrequited love.
Love also has religious and spiritual meaning. This diversity of uses, meanings and complexity of the feelings makes love usually difficult to define as compared to other feelings. Love it one of the purest forms of the feelings
