Graphic designing is the process that involves visual communication and problem-solving by virtue of the use of mainly illustration, typography and photography. The field is considered to be a subset of communication design and visual communication. However, at times the term 'graphic design' appears synonymously. Graphic designers create and combine symbols, images and text in a docile manner in order to prepare visual representations of ideas and messages. They use certain techniques like page layout, typography and visual arts to make ocular compositions. Graphic designing is usually used in corporate design for logos and branding, editorial design to enhance content of magazines, newspapers and books, advertising, environmental design, web design to develop page templates and shape its contour, communication design, design of packaging of products, and signage. A graphic design project may involve the bedecking and presenting existing texts and images. The elements of graphic design can be assimilated in both traditional as well as digital form as long as it involves the use of visual arts, typography, and page layout techniques. Graphic designers not only organise pages but also add other graphic elements. Graphic designers also tend to provide incentives and remunerate photographers or illustrators to create original pieces. Designers use digital tools often referred to as interactive design, or multimedia design and use their communication skills to convince an audience and sell their designs. The process school is concerned with communication and highlights the channels and media through which messages are transmitted, by which senders and receivers encode and decode these messages.
